We highly recommend you take a look at the societies and organisations listed below. Many of them have beliefs that align strongly with the EDI Gender Equality division, and they run some very insightful events and workshops.

Women in Surgery UCL, otherwise known as 'WinS' is a division of UCL Surgical Society. WinS is dedicated to ensuring women feel represented and empowered in the surgical medical sphere, and arrange some excellent schemes and workshops.

Decolonising the Medical Curriculum (DtMC), is a collaborative project between the staff and students of UCL Medical School. They run educational events that address highly topical concepts in medicine, and strive to foster a curriculum that is historically, culturally and critically conscious.

UCL Sexpression is a student-led sexual education programme. Affiliated with Sexpression UK, they work to help young people make informed decisions concerning sexual health and relationships, and share some hugely informative educational content.

RUMS Welfare

RUMS Welfare is a UCL Medical School student-led committee that looks to improve and promote the welfare of students, through the use of informative media, events and drop-in sessions. The welfare committee is dedicated to ensuring all medical students feel heard and looked after, and give brilliant solutions on how to deal with a university environment that may be challenging.

UCL Her Campus Society is a magazine that strives for the creation of a safe space for various women to share their experiences. It sources a means of expression for many students that wish to speak on their challenges and achievements, and is a brilliant way to hear about the accomplishments of others.
